Thumbs down Phoenix doesn't want to be added to fellowship :/

What gives are we picky with Phoenixes these days?

I want to add it to Fellowhip, but it doesn't want to be added.

No I don't want to restart and lvl that pet to 20 again

From official wiki:
Quote:
The Phoenix can be displayed on the "Fellowship" monument in the Hall of Monuments.

Has to be evolved at least twice before it can be added

I thought you could only display rainbow phoenixes and not normal ones.

Myself: Sounds like you might have death leveled it or something. Try it one more time and level it up the normal way (hint: farm the worms outside of Boreal Station)

....

Death level it via the Desolation Wurm method after it becomes aggressive. Get it aggressive via the method I mentioned above; helps if you put points into BM, use Symbiotic Bond, pet attacks and heal it.

I don't think this is a bug.
OT: WTB bigger statue for Phoenix plz! D:

I'm trying to evolve it now at lvl 20. Does that actually work?

I think it only evolves around lvl 11-15. You'll have to re-start and use a method similar to the one I posted.

I had to try twice with a Phoenix. The first time I leveled it by taking it along for SS/LB farms. It was hearty, but wouldn't add to the monument.

The second time I death leveled it to level 20 dire before capturing it and this time it added.

There's a bug that just sometimes doesn't allow you to add a pet to the HoM. It's documented on the official wiki, I think under the monument of Fellowship page. It has nothing to do with deathleveling (I deathleveled my phoenix, and it didn't mind me adding it). You'll just have to get rid of it and try again.

argh how hard is it to code to add just a lvl 20 phoenix :S. Jeez it's not like there's a difference between them or something.

if(animalcompanion==phoenix&&animalcompanion.level ==20)
{
add to monument of valor;
}
/doh!

Somehow I doubt that they use Java to code Guild Wars.

Yeah sure, it's well known that programming languages are based on first-order logic. Hint: these mathematics-based languages are called "Formal methods" and are not used widely nowadays (cool fact: if you take the Paris' automated train Meteor, you're using a system whose core programs have been proven correct using formal methods and have been running uninterrupted for several years).

Back to business: strange behaviour...

Wow, that's some crap. Not that it's so hard to kill Shiro, but you have to get an elite pet AND level it a certain way?

mine went in first go..
but i dont understand why Imperial Phoenix gets a statue..??

both the Black Widow Spider and Black Moa are capped at level 20

then you have the phoenix which you have to level up from level 5 like all other pets..

"shrugs"

I leveled mine to 19 this weekend while maxing SS/LB - spent another few minutes or so to get it to 20. I also got an "animal companion" statue.

That kinda sucks - I guess I'll try and death level me a dire one in a few days and see if I can get it in there. I guess not a big deal to me as I also wanted and "animal companion" statue but that over all is irritating. I thought maybe I had misread that it ranked it's own statue - I guess I'll get that black moa in between.

I've got a red Moa named Redfeather that I've had since my very first day of playing in Presearing.

I put my beloved companion of 33 months on the monument, and get a dandy statue depicting a bear, cat, and wolf. What, are those someone [i]else's[/] pets?

ANet seems to be telling me I should abandon my fine feathered friend and get a real pet. One that matters. You know, one of those pets like the Black Moa that you don't even have to level up.

Or a spider. I could give up cries of "OMG! That bird is HUGE!", from opponents in the arenas, and get a spider. Spiders are soooo cool.

What's my point and how does it relate to the subject?

...

Not sure. I think I was just complaining.

Sorry you can't put your pet on display, but you aren't alone, and at least you can send in a support ticket.

Well obviously the idea behind fellowship is "Elite cool stuff" rather than "those that have traveled with you since the beginning"
